Me as a writer

       My journey to DePauw was full of firsts for me. It was my first trip to the United States, which was very exciting. Unfortunately, it was my first time traveling alone and living without my parents; despite this, I had a fantastic experience. It was also my first time attending college after four difficult years in high school; however, I would say I thoroughly enjoyed my high school experience. I had a lot of firsts, but it was also my first time encountering what college writing really is, which was very overwhelming for an international student like me.      My first experience with college writing came during a summer program at Depauw called the "Summer English Institute," or SEII.           My name is Noinah. I am a Thai international student currently attending DePauw University. I am a computer science major and possible mathematics major or Data science minor. I'm also serving as the robotics club's secretary. I'm well-known among my friends for being an athlete outside of class. I've been playing basketball for the past seven years, and I'm hoping to keep this commitment going. Other than that, I have a few pastimes that I enjoy. When I'm by myself, I like to listen to music, especially songs by my favorite K-pop group, Seventeen, or browse YouTube for fresh content.I enjoy cooking and eating on delicious traditional foods with my friends when we are together.I appreciate all the little things that comes my way and am grateful for it all.      I began speaking English for the first time when I entered a bilingual nursery school.
